Step Up Senior Becomes Prom Queen
Caley, a Step Up senior in Los Angeles, received a beautiful prom dress that was donated to Step Up from actress Isabela Moner. Caley was on her school's prom planning committee but wasn't sure if she would end up attending because she didn't have a dress. Receiving a beautiful dress from Step Up sealed the deal and Caley ended up being voted prom queen!

Here's the letter Caley's mother wrote to Step Up announcing the great news!

Dear my beautiful Step Up sisters + wonder makers,

Caley on prom night,
holding a photo of her boyfriend
who is currently serving in
the U.S. Marines.

I want to thank you for these years of kindness and love you have shown our beloved girls at Environmental Science and Technology High School. Our daughter Caley has come home so many times all lit up in her face, glowing with excitement over what she has learned at Step Up. I can tell really special women are running your program and that you girls put true love and skill into your work and into our girls.

When one of you special ladies took notice that Caley needed a prom dress – wow – that really touched my heart. She wasn't even sure she was going to prom. Some beautiful soul out there (in Step Up) picked up the call from Heaven and personally saw to providing our daughter with the most beautiful prom dress ever!

Caley was nominated for prom court and would not have made the list if she wasn't committed to attending prom. And guess what? She was voted prom queen! We are all so happy for her. Our sweetheart, shy, beautiful girl wore a donated dress as she received her prom queen coronation that no one in this family will ever forget.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Step Up sisters, for "seeing" my daughter. Caley's Step Up experience has forever changed and empowered her all these years.

Love, Caley's Mom Ruthie
