Noelle Correa is the systems optimization manager within Step Up's operations department and organizational effectiveness team. In this position, Noelle expands Step Up's data capacity to better inform effective practices in gender equity programming and policies, a role that leverages her detail-oriented and organization skills. Her current work includes building a data governance framework for Step Up's data usage, as well as creating a dashboard that presents staff's progress to organizational goals.
Prior to joining Step Up, Noelle received her B.A. in sociology and minor in film, television, and digital media from the University of California, Los Angeles. During her undergraduate career, she participated in multiple education and youth development studies for UCLA's Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. From this research experience, she gained an interest in identifying and solving racial inequity within education systems. Noelle continues to expand on her qualitative research as a Research Affiliate for San Francisco State University's A.R.C. Lab.
Born and raised in Riverside County, Noelle is a Southern California native and is based in Step Up's Los Angeles office. Her other interests include watching old Hollywood films, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and visiting Disneyland.

What has your mentor taught you?
My mentor, Juliana, has positively shaped me through her immense support and investment of my own educational journey. She has helped direct me to opportunities that she believed were fitting to my interests, and she has taught me how to actively include and respect everyone's insight on a team.
What do you enjoy most about working at Step Up?
I most enjoy being surrounded by supportive and inspiring women as well as seeing the positive impact Step Up can have on teen girls' lives.
