Anne-Margaux Angelov is the Manager of Development at Step Up. Previously, she served as a membership development and programs associate AmeriCorps VISTA. Her work focused on engaging and expanding the organization's membership by developing and planning communications strategies, members-only opportunities, and other stewardship initiatives. She also supported research and planning for Step Up's new program model, and was involved in generating new ideas around social media content and potential speakers that celebrate inclusivity.
Prior to joining Step Up, Anne-Margaux attended Boston University where she received a B.A. in international relations. She is passionate about human rights, social equity, and education, each of which she has been fortunate to explore through various volunteer and professional opportunities. Her previous experience includes working at the U.S. Embassies in Japan and the U.K., as well as interning at Bibliothèques Sans Frontières in France. Throughout high school and university, she was very involved in community service, from tutoring English to volunteering at food banks to advocating for refugee rights.
Anne-Margaux plans to pursue a masters in development practice and ultimately, a career supporting equitable and sustainable programs that empower communities. In her free time, she enjoys reading her Foreign Affairs magazine, exploring the city with friends, and trying out new recipes with her sister.
